We're excited to announce the launch of a new version of Yottalook today!
Montage Healthcare Solutions recently acquired Yottalook, and has invested in its redesign, including a cleaner and simpler user interface and a number of other advantages.
Yottalook Web engine has been updated to include a larger index while maintaining emphasis on medical imaging related sites. Various refinements will enable quick filtering.
Yottalook Images has been updated to include newer images. We have removed the 1,000 result limit. Despite removing the restrictions on total number of results returned, you will notice significant improvement in speed of your searches. Additional image types have been included as part of filters available, including histology images, illustrations, gross images and photographs. Now you are able to filter by age and sex for those figure captions with such data. The new sorting option allows you to sort by either newest or oldest images.
Yottalook now offers a web service API that allows end users to tap into Yottalook Images, free of charge. The free API will return 5 images per query. A commercial license will allow you to tap into a much larger Images index. Click here for more information.
Yottalook will continue to be free for all users, courtesy of Montage Healthcare Solutions. Yottalook is supported in part by advertisements. If you are interested in advertising with us, contact us.
Yottalook is a free medical imaging search engine for medical imaging professionals, students and consumers.

The new version will have several new features, including improved Web engine with simpler and cleaner filters, increased and updated Images index with more filtering options, increased speed of search for the Images engine, overall improved user interface, incorporation of Reader, etc. We are currently conducting internal beta testing and as soon as that process is completed, we plan to replace the current version with this new version. More updates to follow.
